Bumper to Bumper

traffic-jam-1231529My daughter’s school is about a 15 minute drive from the house. It’s too far for her to walk so I drive her there and back most days.

As of today, they have closed off the bridge in town for construction updates that I usually cross to get her to school. Tonight’s detour around it was a HUGE mess.

Good times.

As I sat in traffic (and waited and waited and WAITED) this evening, I listened to the local news station which informed that there is going to be a storm tomorrow that will probably close my town’s schools.

Now, I’m not a big fan of snow and freezing rain but tonight I’m thinking a day off of school for her is one less day that I’ll have to sit in detour traffic.

The bridge is supposed to reopen in December.

I can’t keep her home for THAT long.

I wonder how many audio books I can listen to each week while sitting in traffic?

I think I might be about to find out.

  1. This is the kind of thing where you either find the zen and chill through it, or become enraged every morning. If it were me I think it’d be a 50/50 split. Here’s hoping you find more zen than not!
