Yep, I know it’s December because my house is full of
sugar treats again.
And after only TWO days of eating small amounts of them, I have an upset stomach and a headache.
I need to eliminate more refined sugar from my diet. I know I won’t get rid of it all, but I’ve just read that the AHA recommends that women limit themselves to about 6 teaspoons of sugar a day, or about 100 calories.
So, I just went and made myself a smoothie of banana, blueberries, strawberries, almond milk and chia seeds. The Christmas baking is still sitting untouched in the kitchen today.
But, I really love, love, LOVE Christmas baking so I KNOW I’ll be consuming more then the recommended 6 teaspoons a day of sugar over the next month.
Eating healthy around the holidays?
That’s REALLY hard for me.
But I’ll try and most days honestly, I’ll probably fail.
