Just don’t get sick. Please.

MP900444429Now that my
kids are older, and two of them are taller than me, you'd think that keeping
them healthy would be easier.

It's not.

With cold and flu season in full-force, it’s important
to stop the spread of germs. I have taught my kids how to stay healthy –
they know they should wash their hands frequently, they been lectured about
sneezing into their sleeves and they all have a container of Lysol disinfecting wipes in
their bathrooms to wipe up any nasty things that appear there before the
bathroom's regular cleaning.

And, I nag remind them about all these things
constantly.

But, my teens? They don't listen to me.

So one day this winter, one of my teens will come to me all whiny, achy and croupy
sounding.

And that is when one of my big kids will regress into their toddler years again. This means they will lie on the couch, make unreasonable demands and complain for days about how bad they
feel.

Because you
know what is the only thing worse than a husband grown man with a cold?

A TEEN with a cold.

Sigh.
