How to remove sticky price tags and labels.

Heating up price tags

Have you ever
had problems getting stickers or price tags off things you've bought?

As I was using my fingernails and then a butter knife to scrape a price
tag off a new serving platter this weekend, a girlfriend informed me that if I
just put a hair dryer on the sticker/price tag for a few minutes, the tag would melt
right off.

It worked.

My manicure was saved too.

Which leaves me wondering, am I the only person in the world who
doesn't know this kinda stuff?

  1. WD-40 works wonders if it’s not clothing or plastic. There’s another product called “Goo Gone” or some such nonesense that doesn’t do a bad job. If one of you kids has used electrical tape to tape stuff to his walls, The Magic Eraser works wonders.

  3. I knew this but only because I worked in a video store and we purchased other video store’s movies and had to take their stickers off with a hot air gun.
But I asked my wife, and she didn’t know. And she knows everything, at least that’s what she tells me. @_@
