Take me home…

Have you ever
gotten a song stuck in your head?

This is my problem this morning and honestly, it's annoying the
heck out of me.

And, to make it even worse, the song is, Country Roads by John
Denver.

I must have been in an elevator yesterday, or maybe it was playing
at the grocery store, I don't know, either way I can't stop singing and humming
it today.

And, can you think of a more ANNOYING song to have stuck in
your head?

Okay, maybe the Barney or Dora Explorer theme songs, but that's
not the point.

I NEED to get this stupid song out of my brain.

According to a friend, (What, Google’s not your BFF too?) the
best way to get a song out of one’s head, is to belt it out really loud while
you’re in the shower. Supposedly, it washes the song right out of your head
somehow.

Yeah.

I'm not sure which is worse, my family trying to have me locked up
for walking around singing John Denver all day or having them commit me for
yelling the words to Country Roads out in the shower.

Decisions, decisions…

How about you? Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? What was it?

  1. Lol, are you familiar with the ‘what’s the story in balamorey’ theme tune ? Well I fond myself humming that on the way to my work the other day, and just when i thought I had lost it, I found myself humming it on my way home from work on the same day. Trust me, that is the most annoying song to ever have stuck in your head lol

  2. Just reading “take me home” in the title had me singing the song instantly. It’s a definite ear worm…I’m sure I’d be humming it all day if it weren’t for the One Direction on infinite loop in the van. Not sure which is worse!

  3. I don’t know about “stuck in my head”–I always say if it’s stuck in my head, I’m not sure why it’s coming out my mouth–but I have a tendency to randomly start belting out “Over The Rainbow” or “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida,” despite rarely if ever hearing either of them outside my head. (I say I randomly belt them out as though there is some other way to belt them out. Heh.)
