I’ve lost my way.

I am taking a writing course this term and they've asked me a stupid question.

They asked me to make a list of the things I know how to do.

Um. Yeah.

'Nothing' was the first thing that came to mind. How sad is that?

Then I came up with:

1. Nagging.

2. Organizing mounds of paper.

3. Driving bickering kids around to activities in a mini-van.

4. Time outs.

5. Laundry.

Argh.

Surely, I must know how to do things other then these. I did have a life before I became a wife and mother, didn't I? I was successful, secure and um, interesting. Right?

Sigh.

I have until Tuesday to come up with a list. Help me out here, my friends. I need some inspiration. What do you know how to do?

  1. I am sure you know how to do other things besides those. For me, I know how to cook, I know how to write, I know how to correct other peoples’ grammar (ok, maybe that isn’t a good thing). Try thinking about some of the things you enjoy doing and that may lead you to a list of things you can do.

  2. I know lots of things you can do!
You are an amazing writer (anyone who has read your blog over the past 5+ years knows that)
You can teach adults how to use computer programs proficiently – in fact you wrote the manual!
Most importantly, You can DRINK!! (well maybe not as much as you used to, but you can still do it……) 🙂
