High School?

So, my daughter picked up her high school timetable today.

High. School.

Just yesterday Tired Papa and I were thinking about having children and now, boom! – next week she starts high school.

So, personally? I'm in denial about the whole thing.

Fortunately, I had a fairly decent high school experience.

I did well, I had friends and I didn't make too many geeky mistakes.

I wish the same for her.

Good luck eldest daughter and um, I'll be here for you every step of the way. Especially on the days when you don't want me there.

Yep, that's a promise.

Love you too.

  1. My oldest is in 6th. She was held back in kindergarten though for being “immature”. I don’t mind though because I feel like I gained a year before she’ll be in high school. haha I’ll do this several times over though before I am through. When my Gabbi is in high school that is when I’ll feel old. lol

  2. Best of luck to J as she (and you) pass another milestone…. it’s not so bad…I’ve got one starting college (again) and one in her last year – how old does that make you feel?

  3. I made many mistakes that were alot more serious than wearing the wrong clothes – I hope your daughter is smarter than me 🙂
I guess all we can do is love and support them – there are alot of teenagers who don’t have that and their choices are because of lack of support, right? (I hope – ’cause that’s what I keep telling myself to prepare for when mine et there).

  5. Good luck to her. My oldest just started middle school today. That is enough if a freak out for me. I don’t think I am ready (not that I feel old, just that I don’t want her put into those types of situations yet).
