Lists. Again.

Between the dance recital this week, the piano recital next weekend, the guitar show, baseball, soccer, synchronized swimming, school parties and gosh knows what else going on in June, I have had to start making lists again.

I'm making big lists too. I seem to have the kinda lists going here that usually only happen at Christmas time.

But each event I mentioned has a hundred little pieces to manage for it and so I've started making lists to try and keep on top of things.

I was even thinking of making a master list to help keep track of the lists.

Yep, it's official – I have lost my mind.

Oh, but for everyone who asked after yesterday's post. YES! We got the perfect grade eight graduation dress. It is pretty, age appropriate and looks stunning on my daughter.

That is a big huge enormous thing off the list.

That would be the uh, graduation list.

Does anyone know where I put that list?

  1. I’m in the same boat around here. Thankfully, The Boy is not particular about his 8th grade grad outfit. That will be genuinely traumatic with Middle Child year after next. <shudder.

  2. Well, since you’ve gone and made all those lists, and I haven’t got to it yet, could you let me know, say, about a day ahead of time, if I’m going to forget something? It’s been established, I lost my brain years ago!!
    Thanks šŸ™‚

  3. My husband is the king of lists, and since we are moving house and country and chucking/selling/giving away most of our stuff, there are aplenty.
Lists only make me feel guilty or unproductive. (blogging defers the inevitable)
    I just defer to him.
I am in awe of your organizational abilities too.

  4. I live for my lists! I always have at least 2 going on at once (sometimes 5 or 6). Don’t forget to make a list for “Leanne Time”…you are going to need it after all those events! šŸ™‚

  5. I think that would go under “find brain,” which incidentally is always #1 on my list. Unfortunately I always seem to be working my way up the list. #1 is so elusive. Sigh.

  6. I’m the same way, I have to have a list or else I will forget everything. I think it’s called “Mom Brain”. Once you have kids, you get it, and there’s no getting your previous brain version back.

  7. Congrat to your daughter. Now comes the test of teenhood. Freshmen fun and the attitude that comes with it. šŸ™‚ I have a 9th grader soon to 10th and let me tell you its been trying to say the least. GOD BE WITH YOU

  8. I need to keep lists, all this end of the school year buzz of activity makes me a little crazy too. I’ve got one leaving Kindergarten, one leaving elementary school, and one leaving middle school. Between parties, shows, and ceremonies I can’t keep my head straight. Then in two weeks they’ll all be staring at each other 24/7 with nothing to do but complain about their utter and complete boredom. Can’t wait!
